Sew Scary 2024

Xingfutang’s October Special Event is here! I can hardly believe it’s that time of year again. We're celebrating the spooky season with our annual Sew Scary event, dedicated to everything fun and festive about Halloween.

First up is our 2023 clearance sale. Many of last year’s Halloween-themed plushies are still lingering around my house, and I’d love for you to help them find a new home. To make room for this year’s new spooky critters, these plushies are now 30% off. 

This year, I’m also bringing back daily plushie releases. In the past, I introduced a new bat design each day, but since interest in last year's bats wasn’t quite as strong, I’ve decided to switch things up. Instead of daily bats, I’ll be releasing a variety of Halloween-themed plushies every day—something for everyone, whether you're a bat lover or not. Previews will go live at 1 PM AEST , and plushies will be available to purchase starting at 2 PM AEST. All plushies are first come, first served. There will be no cart holds or reservations, so if you’ve got your eye on something, be ready right at 2 PM.

Trick-or-Treat Giveaway is here!
What’s a Trick-or-Treat Giveaway? It’s easy—you join, and you could win a very special Halloween surprise! This year’s prize is a giant Halloween bat plush, completely covered in dazzling, glittery sparkle.

But here’s the twist—this isn’t ordinary glitter. It’s made from biodegradable plant cellulose, which means it’s safe for the planet. So yes, it might cling to everything, but at least it’s eco-friendly!

This plush bat is one of my largest creations. It features soft cotton filling inside the wings and ears, making it thick, cozy, and perfect for chilly nights. As a spooky finishing touch, it even has a creepy little skull hand accessory wrapped around its neck.

How can I buy a Halloween plush?
Head to my shop at 2 PM AEST, refresh the page until the plushies appear, add your favorite to your cart, and check out quickly. No reservations or cart holds are accepted.

What if I don't want freebies or extra packaging?
No problem at all. Just email me when you place your order and I’ll exclude any extras.

Why does it look like I was charged even though checkout failed?
If checkout fails for any reason—item sold out, address mismatch, or network issue—your payment won’t be processed. You might see a pending charge on your bank account, but it should disappear in a few days. You can always contact your bank for confirmation.

I was on your page right on time, but I didn’t see the plush drop!
This may be due to caching or browser delays. Try refreshing the page or clearing your browser cache for the latest updates.

If you're not seeing the latest plushies in the shop, you may need to force-refresh your browser or clear your cache. Sometimes, your browser loads an outdated version of the website to improve speed. You can also try searching for “Sew Scary” directly in the search bar to find the collection manually.

Will you be remaking the X plush?
Maybe! Some plushies might return in the future, but many were made using limited fabric or special accessories that can’t be restocked. If the materials are no longer available, it’s unlikely they’ll be produced again.

Can I request a glitter-free version of the giveaway prize?
Sorry, no. The glitter is part of the fun (and the mischief!) of this giveaway. The plush has already been decorated, so it’s not possible to remove the glitter. If you’re not a fan of sparkles, this might not be the giveaway for you.

Isn’t glitter bad for the environment?
Normally, yes—but not this one. I use eco-friendly, plant-based glitter made from biodegradable cellulose. It has been independently lab-tested and meets ASTM D6400 compostability standards, meaning it decomposes at the same rate as known compostable materials in commercial and industrial composting facilities. It’s also certified under ISO 14855, contains no heavy metals, is safe for skin
